I began painting on architectural antiques about 12 years ago. I have a BA in History and I was always going to “do something” with my degree, such as teach or go on to law school. I began working at Fern Hill part time when I was in college. I fell in love with design and I have been at Fern Hill designing since 1990.

My painting always involves architectural antiques and botanicals. I have painted on everything from armoires to little school slates. If something is cracked, like a window - I just paint right on it - I love using the historical pieces of our past and making something from nothing; a concept familiar to the quilting world. So it was a natural transition to fabric design. Everything around me inspires me. My immediate family (which includes my husband and 4 children), dear friends and our family at Fern Hill all contribute to the creative process. The possibilities are endless and I am so excited to be creating in so many mediums. And to top it all off' most recently I have been asked to be a Project Producer for Country Gardens Magazine with Meredith Corporation! I am thrilled and honored to work with that creative team. I believe art comes full circle and I am excited to see what possibilities are around the corner! Stay tuned...
